Motor mount clearance

Bought two motor mounts at O'Reilly, they were obviously from different suppliers. One was made in Canada and the other in India. The Indian one is pictured below. The tiny gap between the mount and the perch feels a little too close for comfort. The Canadian one has a gap that's only a little larger.

Am I going to have any problems with this? Is there a specific mount I should buy instead?

Re: Motor mount clearance

Should be a little more clearance than that...That lip looks long. Left side mount is the one that lifts during acceleration, but that thing will be hammering with every bump...Here's what I'm using, do you have that part number? https://www.cjponyparts.com/motor-mo...SABEgKkdPD_BwE

Re: Motor mount clearance

Get a different mount or trim that part of the shell with a hacksaw or something. You will probably get a small vibration if it is in full contact
