Go figure, GM Parts Direct may have NOS A/C diverter boxes
First time I've ordered an NOS part from them and the sale went through. Didn't expect that at all. Will see what happens.

I tried the same thing a month back, ordered a part from GM and the sale went through and I paid but the next day I got an email saying they no longer carry the part even though the part was shown as available. I called the number and the lady told me they just haven't bothered to go through their whole site and take out all the parts the no longer carry. Just a heads up

It seems, through the years, GM has reproduced these on and off. Maybe they made another batch.

That's one of the issues with NOS. I define NOS as "made with the batche(s) intended for production" but we get a lot of "ran out of service parts and needed to make more". Door handles are a good example, since they weren't well made in later runs.
Same with dash clusters - they were made NOS for years, but they're painted silver, not plated. Still "NOS" technically though.

&$*&$ GM Parts Direct. Phone call, email, still haven't heard back. Their website says "won't refund shipping" and "subject to 35% restocking fee". I say bet me.
Edit on 12-29-2015: Do yourself a favor and don't order one of these through them. No response after 7-8 contacts via email and phone messages. I've opened a "case" through one of two payment methods used.

The seller refunded the money and case closed. I still have an NOS diverter with a crack on one end. I'll give it a couple weeks, sell for cheap.
1st pic: The crack is just above the label I'm holding. Runs about 3/8" from the end: 2nd pic: Shows the rust. Poor pic., but the rust is minor. Still not exactly a "new" part.

These are still readily available through GM. They have not been discontinued yet. I sell Genuine GM ones instead of the reproductions. WES

The rod/lever detaches itself from the door. I haven't seen any really good fixes other than replacing it.
