Re: 1967 gmc grill

These 67 GMC grilles are hard to find. I ended up with a sort-a-fit new repro grille, ended up tightening it to tight broke the new shiny metal in several places.

Re: 1967 gmc grill

top bar is pretty clean on the back side , but I did find a split place on the lower right by the headlight opening. the core support has some scale and is pitted under the battery box , but I didn`t see any holes

You state it is a 67 but will it fit all the way to 72? Curious and interested if you could let me know please?

Re: 1967 gmc grill

the core support will fit 67-72. It is a 67 -68 type gmc core so you can remove the headlight extensions and it will a 67-68 chevy core .
the grill is correct for 67 only , but will fit 67-68 as is
the top bar is 67-68 only,
change out the top bar for a 69-72 type and use the grill on a 69-72 truck or put a 67-68 hood on a 69-72 truck and use the grill as is.

Re: 1967 gmc grill

That top bar/filler panel is a $150 part alone. Not reproduced and the part you need to run a 67/68 hood on any 67-72 GMC (or convert a Chevy). Not suggesting to separate. Just saying...
The '67 headlight doors are 1 year only also, and not reproduced. There are no divots for adjustment. They need to be removed, but when was the last time you had to adjust yours? Good '67-only stuff here (that I already have)

Re: 1967 gmc grill

Would you sell the grill separate from the top support bar and bezels?

Re: 1967 gmc grill

I don't have it disassembled or boxed yet, but I did use another gmc grill to figure size and weight for a shipping quote. with a box 78" X 18" X 10" weighing 18 lbs. greyhound is going to be the cheapest at $85 to ship for a total of $185. lmk. thanks.
