283 numbers
I just picked up a 283 power pack engine from my dad. I was wondering if someone could decode these number from in front of the passenger head. F0908GF

Re: 283 numbers
Well I was hoping it was the original engine for my 67 ss impala that was my dads. But it is not looking like it. The 67 came out with a 3 speed. This is the engine that came in the car when dad bought it in 1970. He ran it for several years then replaced it with another rebuilt 283, which is still in the car today.
