Installing front fenders on my 56

Any tips on mounting the front fenders as far as glueing on the rubber at the rear of the fender or any other tips?

Factory used big staples which can be fabbed from wire. Repops are grooved and install with 3M type glue.

I am talking about the rubber by the front of the door edge.
Not the inner fenders.

Re: Installing front fenders on my 56

Factory assembly manual shows it glued to the side of the fender brace facing the door and inside of fender next to the brace (in the inside corner of brace and bender). The rounded part that sticks out beyond the fender brace is a press fit against the cab.

I did mine a couple of months ago. It seemed to me the one that came in the kit were either too thick or not compressable enough to allow the fender to be adjustable once I tried to mount the fenders and adjust them to fit to the doors.
