Re: Power Steering help

Someone will chime in with 4wd advise, i've done the 2wd upgrade on my 68 c10. I sourced a 1985 c10 for 2 reasons; 3 1/2 turns lock to lock, (my original box was 5 turns), and i especially like the variable ratio box from about 73? and newer. It's stated on the glove box door as such. If you go this route get the box, lines, possibly pitman arm, and the complete pump, brackets and pulley(s)? Not sure on the external linkage in between the wheels though. The reason for getting the lines and pump from the same truck is because they changed about 1975 from flare fittings to o ring style. Double check on the rag joint or take the intermediate shaft then you will have any combination possible Good luck, Brian F.
