Dolly for fender cup

I have been replacing both fender cups on my 68 due to rust/neglect. I would weld and planish but it’s quite a tight fit, so I was having troubles fitting the traditional dolly in the cup. I looked online for a smaller dolly that would fit the application better, but with no luck gave up. So I went to eBay and purchased a 1” diameter by 5” long stainless steel rod. I cut it down to length so it fits better but polished one end of it and put a bit of a crown on it. So far it works very well for the exact intended purpose of planishing welds inside the fender cup. I didn’t see anything else online like it so maybe it will give others an idea, and it was only $17 all in and a little time.

Thanks! I was a little surprised at the price of the generic dollies so just had to make one but you know the song and dance as your always making purpose built tools.
