Fender Brace

I am repainting my inner fenders and on the driver's side has a Brace around the steering shaft and has 2 holes on each end.
It has a slite bend on one end and everything else looks good inner fender and fender. It would be easy to fix but like they say "If it ain't broke don't fix it"
First time attaching photos hope it worked.
