1970 SBC 350 Therm AC Delete

Hi all,

I am building my stock 350. I will be using clean scripted valve covers, and using a baffled PCV up through the aluminum intake manifold. There will be a front vented oil fill tube. In effect, the valve covers are completely smooth.

My question is, I want to use the stock air cleaner. Can I just delete the Therm A/C connection and air cleaner spacer?

If you disconnect the vacuum, does the door in the snorkel stay open? If so, it'll take your truck longer to warm up, is all. Taking the spacer out shouldn't hurt anything, if nothing (like the throttle linkage) interferes with it.
