I have a 69 C10 with front drum brakes. What parts are needed to make a clean swap and drop? I am probably getting the CPP brake kit that comes with rotors, calipers, lines and hardware. Do I need any other brackets, booster, master cylinder? Do OEM control arms work for 2" drop? So far I have 2" drop spindles. Thanks in advance for the help.

I'm going to assume that you are staying with six lug. I would believe and hope that the OEM A arms work fine with the dropped spindles. Yes you will need a proper disk brake master cylinder. If you look at the setup for a 71/72 you should be good as they came from the factory with disk brakes.

I've never seen them but in an ideal situation someone would make six lug rotors that bolted on 71/72 and maybe up though mid 80's spindles. That would make the swap all stock parts except the rotor.

Looking at the CPP spindles I see that they keep the wheel mount surface inboard from where it would be with most disk brake spindles. Not a bad idea if you run bigger tires.

Most aftermarket spindle companies have been making 6-lug "direct bolt on" rotors for a few years now.
Early Classic Enterprises is where I got my last set.
CPP sells them also.
They fit stock and dropped 71-87 HD spindles for 1.25" rotors.

Thank you for the replies. I think I am going Early Classic disc brake kit and their 9" booster since I'll be going with LS engine.

My plan is 2" spindles w/ 2" springs in front. Rear 4" springs and 1.5" blocks....their site says 2" not recommended for 15" wheels... which I'll be running 275 60 tires. Anyone running 4"springs and 2" blocks?

My ongoing truck projects: 48 Chev 3100 that will run a 292 Six. 71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant. 77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.
