direct replacement 4 core for my original...

Finally got the whole engine put back together and fired up after almost a year and after I filled the radiator it has a small crack in the bottom and was pouring out radiator fluid.... Needless to say I wasn't to happy... I pulled it out a few months back and had it boiled out and painted... Must have cleaned it too much and opened up a crack or they dropped it and didn't tell me...

So I am looking at getting a replacement but worried about the brackets and having fitment issues...

Anyone know of a direct replacement that will bolt right in?

It is a Harrison 4 core with factory brackets but aftermarket shroud and a 454ci...

Thanks for the heads up.

I would have a good shop fix what you have. Yes, you can buy a new one, but a good one is spendy. These radiators will basically interchange with many GM cars from late 60s through the mid 80s as long as the width is the same. Later trucks may have 4-row in BB applications. Also vans.

I have a 4 core and a shroud I took out of my truck a few years ago that I would be willing to part with if you're interested. PM me if your other options don't work out, I'm in Chandler.

I just bought this one. Made in the USA, 2 core with 1"tubes. Much better cooling that a 3 or 4 core.

It looks nice and should drop right in.

O ended up tearing a core passage out of my radiator with a bolt, took it to a radiator guy and he was able to clear away just enough of the aluminum fin to pinch the core shut and braze it, eliminated one passage but saved my radiator.

Had to put one in my 72 years ago. Got one from a mid 70's Caddy. Worked perfect. Even had the heater hose outlet!

I bought a 4-core for my 68 C20 at Autozone in Phoenix that was an exact fit. Was about $140. Very good quality made by Canadian company that makes gas tank and other car parts. Would buy another again no problem. All metal also, no plastic tanks or aluminum on this one. Good luck. Jim

Yea, mine is working good it is the stock one but I too have been looking at aluminum ones.
Let us know how this works plus I assume it is lighter?
