Misunderstood on the internet?Who needs the internet for that?I do just fine without it!

Hey!That makes three of us.I knew there was a bigger common thread goin`on.Matter of fact,one of my favorite songs that I relate to the most is on my CD player right now.I grew into it being about me though,since it was written when I was nuthin`butta scooboy when it was written.It`s a song to crank in your old K/20 on the way home from the gnarliest of hard workin`days.

1918 FWD

Heres the oldest I have ever owned personally.... a 1960 Ford F250 4x4. Thing was geared so low it had a max speed of around 50-55mph... when I bought it, it had a 292 V8 that the previous owner had swapped in for whatever reason, taking out the 300 I-6. Not sure what it came with from the factory but that 292 was gutless (half a quart of oil away from dying when it was sold).

That era ford is one of my favorite body styles next to the '67-'72 and '41-'46 Chevys. I don't discriminate much, if at all between the Domestic automakers, or even foreign autos depending on Vintage

Honestly, it was done by my Grandfather, they used it for camping/hunting. The sad thing is, from what I understand, it was originally a Command Car body style WC; http://web.tampabay.rr.com/oldman/Command%20Car.htm . This is the only picture of it that I know of. Basically they stuck a British Car body in place of the original body.

I like those first 4wd Fords.FWD wrote the book on 4wd.At least way before Jeep was born or knew how to write.That is so cool.We need some Oshkosh trucks here.

About 10yrs ago I got to drive an early 70's 6x6 Oshkosh water truck through the desert
(I had alot more fun than I was probably suppose to have)

Got one most folks have never heard of. Gotfredson Trucks, built from the early 20's to the late 30's. Ranged from 3/4 to 5 ton and a great reputation for being a work truck. Theres a website dedicated to them and the family is related to my wife. Her moms maiden name is Gotfredson. Never heard of them myself till I married my wife. They have one in the truck museum outside of Sacramento, Ca.
