Wooden shoes, windmills, and American Iron

Hello everyone.

I was surfing on the net and found this very cool site and just signed in.
Last week I traded a 2nd gen. camaro (totaly taken appart) and a mopar 383 pro street engine with a '68 chevy suburban C10. The sub Hasn't seen the road for 10 years, so I have to put some TLC in the car.
It has a 396cui bigblock and was running smooth. I'll take this suburban home next week. Than I'll post some pics.

About myself: 37, 2 kids (and wife). Living in the northern part of the Netherlands (Fryslân) and at The States you call us "Frisians" so that's the reason of my nickname.

I own the '68 suburban C10, '71 dodge B200 6-wheeler custom Van, '76 dodge B150 custom Van with custom trailer, '83 Dodge B250 custom Van (in progress) and some european crap

Oh man, I need to clone myself to get all the work done
I start reading on the forums right now. See ya

Welcome to the site,we have something in common! My grandmother was born in Fryslan, she came to the US when she was 6 years old. I'll bet that sub is like driving a tank on those narrow streets!

Re: Wooden shoes, windmills, and American Iron

thank you all.

Indian113; So... you're also a little "Frisian"?! The parking space is to small for "usa iron", but the roads are ok.
There are driving 10-thousends usa-cars around here, so it's these days a normal thing. Many Vans and pick-up trucks are used for business for labour etc. Towing large trailers etc. There are also many hot-rods, customs, muscle cars, so enough to see around here

Cheers,

Re: Wooden shoes, windmills, and American Iron

Thanks guys.

I would up-date this thread with pics, but the transport for the suburban is delayed. The weather in the Netherlands is very bad, very hard winds. That can get blown of the road. I've seen a lot with cars on their trucks/trailers who looked for a shelter is a town. The wind and rain is blowing to fast.

I'll hope that they can deliver the sub next week.
Keep you up-dated.
