frozen spindle 1958 3100

here is what issue is, right front spindle turns hard on axle with tie rod unhooked. used heat and grease on left side and it moves free. used heat,BFH, grease gun and still turns hard. no slop in both kingpins. and ideas before axle gets pulled? all zerks take grease easy except right side lower and zerk has been switched out. no telling how long truck sat befor my buddy got it. thanks!

Re: frozen spindle 1958 3100

I believe you answered your own question by noting that the lower bushing won't take grease even with a new zerk, I'd that the hole or groove in the bushing for the grease to go through isn't lined up with the hole in the spindle or that it is plugged with hard grease that has been there for a long time.

Since most likely you are going to have to redo the king pin bushings I'd knock the pin out of that side and see what it looked like inside the bushing.
