60 Porterbuilt Brake questions.

Hello all,

I have some questions about Porter Built and brakes.

I have a 60 GMC(full porter built setup), I am ordering control arms (narrowed 1"). They ask for ball joint type.

My question is, if I go to the newest ball joint option (73-87). Will that change my track width when I go to order brakes? I just don't want to order the narrowed control arms and then gain that inch back because the track width is wider on the 73-87 hub/ brakes than the 60. I also want to avoid trying to find 1960 ball joints when I need to replace them.

60 stock track width is 63.14"
73 stock track width is 65.8"

Its late so hopefully my post isn't too much gibberish

Re: 60 Porterbuilt Brake questions.

Ace...im running pretty much the same setup PB A-arms 1inch forward and 1inch narrowed..I used the 71-72 BJ's with CPP's new modular spindle. No complaints here.
