Red face Help Interpreting SPID

Hello Knowledgeable ONES. I have a 71 Cheyenne. I am trying to determine if its a SUPER or NOT. It has the upper/lower wood grain moulding, head liner, parchment/houndstooth seat, air, wood grain dash leather door covers, chrome windshield/rear window surround. The SPID has a Z84 code listed as a Custom Sport truck. I have seen on numerous SPID's this same code is for Super and/or Sierra Grand. My truck was MFG in Freemont. Can I assume (Without make an ASS of Myself) Super since all the options in 71 are there?

thanks everyone

Re: Help Interpreting SPID

i'm not sure what year CST ended and SUPER began, someone else will surely know. but i don't think it can be both. does the spid match the cab vin as a 71?

Re: Help Interpreting SPID

Super is a late 71/72 option and it will be ye9 as opposed z84 for a normal cst/Cheyenne.
Cheyenne is the same package as cst just renamed for 71/72. So cst is 67-70 Cheyenne is 71/72. Some spids still list z84 as cst for 71/72 even though it's really Cheyenne.

Re: Help Interpreting SPID

Go by the RPO, which is YE9 for a Cheyenne Super/Sierra Grande. Often the descriptions are inaccurate. I've even seen a 100% original '71 Cheyenne Super listed as YE9 Cheyenne.
