That truck is ridiculous. Most amazing thing I have seen in a while. I am speechless. Did you ever mention the specs on the rear end and tire and wheel combo for the rear? I want to run big rollers in the rear with a fat lip too on my daily driver. Let me know what you did, in exchange I will paint your bed for you, all you do is supply materials!

Oh, sorry double post but when you say you had the sides dipped, did you acid dip them to strip them or did you find someone to EDP coat the bedsides like the factory does?

Scotti, Not exactly the sequence of events. I removed all of the clearanced wood flooring and strips. I fabed some 3/4"X3/4" square tubing to mount on top of the cross sills. This simulated the thickness of the wood floor. The bed side sits on top of the 3/4"X3/4". I cut, drilled and taped holes in the 2.5"X2.5" tubing and mounted that on top of the original cross sills. (No wood flooring) Then I mounted another set of cross-sills on top of the 2.5" tubing. Then comes the flooring. There is only 1 wood floor. I am considering raising the stainless fuel tank up into the frame a little more for clearance and this mod may help. I can take some more detailed pics if you would like. Or you can just come over and check it out. Your local.

72cstc5, The rear end is a ford 9" I ordered from Moser. It was custom built for me. I think it was 56" long. The wheels were made by Forgline. I think they are 20 X 12.5. Hope this helps.

Hey, I just noticed your handle 72cstc5, Do you have a chassis like n2billet is building? or do you have a C5 corvette.

Your bed floor looks great! I am also a fan of raising the floor instead of notching it all out. Looks like you went about 7" on your wider tub's. I did this one about 6yrs ago and still love the look. Now I just need to finish it up and find some wider tires to fill in the space. I have 335/35/17 on it right now but they have become very narrow in my view

Mine is raised 6" total from stock and I used the sections from my wheel widening to build the 45* ramp at the tail gate.

Looks great!!! I love the bed.. How much space do you have between your inner bedside and tires? Could you measure how wide from outside edge of one tire to outside edge of the other for me? I dont have a bed yet and wanna make sure the BS of my wheels are correct before they build them.. Thanks alot and keep up the good work!!!

I considered doing something similar but using a cut up steel floor as my 'base' that the bedsides bolt to & then making the wood floor a 'faux' type floor. This seemed to be the most structurally 'solid' way to go but I didn't want the additional weight.

I'm still playing around w/various ideas (currently just have the steel floor spaced up 3").

No, I have a 2wd Blazer which is technically a C5 and not a K5, I wish I was running the c5 vette suspension. I had a c5 convertible but sold it. Wish I still had it sometimes. Love the truck and thanks for the specs.
