Gmc Paul's molding clips

First gmc Paul's is awesome, however the molding clips that are adhesive style are terrible. They are a LOT thicker which causes the molding to bulge out. I bought uppers local since Paul was back ordered and the ones local are more original. Hoping Paul sees this and has a fix for it

Sad part is I paid $60 for uppers due to being only ones available but I am still a fan of Paul's but these clips are terrible

Stick on clips are like that. The metal clips work a whole lot better. If you use the stick on style, scrape the cheap foam tape off and use 3M outdoor double sided tape. It is half the thickness and pulls the trim tighter to the body.

I'm going to clean my originals and reuse them and I have some abs plastic that I can make additional ones from. I wished that all of mine was bolt in style but they weren't.
