Low buck 67 Shortbed big block - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Been lurking around the boards for a while, and figured I’d make a post with my project. I’ve mostly built square bodies over the years, but my dream was always to find a 67 c10 Shortbed. After retiring from the military and getting the family settled the right truck just found it’s way to me, bought it from the son of the original owner at a fair price and I’ve been tinkering on it as time allows.

It’s a 67 c10 short bed stepside in 503 green last tagged in 2000. The PO had started to part it out, but fortunately gave up pretty quickly. Originally a 6 cylinder 4 speed truck she was missing the engine, column, wiring harness, bench seat, clutch linkage, passenger rear fender, and a few other random parts.

Putting her back together with a 454, Muncie m21, and whatever I can find to get the truck back on the road without spending a ton of cash (lots of used parts and searching through CL and junkyards). It’s not fast progress, but it’s progress and I’m having a lot of fun doing it. This is a great forum and you all have created a wealth of knowledge in one spot for these trucks. Hope to become a part of the community here and one day start contributing myself.

Clearly I’m not good at this picture thing yet. I’ll have to try it from the laptop instead of a phone.
