What type of paint is this?
Hello,
I'm stripping paint off my Nova project. The previous owner said stuff about POR and Lizard Skin he applied to the project car before I got it. But this doesn't look like either one of those. Any thoughts on what it is? Its everywhere and strips/peels off in sheets.

Re: What type of paint is this?
The por15 I tried on my frame (before I stripped it back off) looked like that as it peeled off.

Re: What type of paint is this?
Just about anything is going to peel like that if the substrate isn't prepped properly.
You could get $500 gallon paint to do that if you don't prep properly. Brian

Re: What type of paint is this?
Thanks for the replies. I figured it needed to go.
I have been wire wheeling, DA'ing, and hand sanding for days. I hope I got it all off. At this point, shy of sending the car out for media blasting, I think I've gotten the most of what I'll be able to prep on the car. I just hope/worry its enough.
