The Burb body has been painted

My son's 72 Burb has been in the paint shop now since 10-3-06 and the paint on the body is completed. There are a few parts left to paint yet, (doors, mostly) so the assembly can begin. The big Burb has been apart since 2001 and has had lots of repairs.

The finished frame has to be refreshed, (the body is sitting on a spare frame) and we are hoping for a spring 07 completion.

The attached picture is of the Burb upon its arrival at my house.

Re: The Burb body has been painted

Congrats on getting back. Mine took a couple of years to get back so consider yourself lucky. Have fun putting it back together, I know I am. Keep us posted on your progress.

Re: The Burb body has been painted

I did not mention that I was the assistant on the painting of the truck and it was my job to sand for 2-3 hours everday among other tasks for two weeks.

It is a base coat/clearcoat paint and the picture does not do the Burb justice. With all of the colored leaves in the background I had to reduce the pixal count a lot so the picture lost some clarity.

I will post some progress pictures later.
