just got my first panel in the mail from AMD i was pleased with the quality

but i accedentily ordered the passenger side! lol well i need that side too so im going ot put it off to the side and go order he drivers side now...

also worked on the crack in the vent cowl. it was weird. right where the camper support things mounted to. must have hit i BIG bump or sumthing

today i freshened up some interior knobs.
nice indoor project, becuase its so cold. cant wait for spring!
i used a white paint marker. works really well and dosent scratch off. i also cleaned the knob really well to get that shine back
i also put hte front end back together to see how it looks with the fresh grille

thank you. do you mean the grille shell? i used stainless and aluminum sink cleaner. i shined it right up! i also used 400 grit sandpaper to get rid of the scratches

got the gas tank out. it is in great shape.
also got the pass. side fender off

I did a little research and found out that the truck has a DANA 60 rear end.
i heard good things about the DANA 60s.

im also working on taking the cab off,
i made a cab dolly out of wooden pallets.
i will post a pic of that tomarrow

I'm constantly repurposing things for my build too. I made mine out of an old push cart (LINK) it was pretty cool till one of the wheels buckled under the weight. I ended up bracing the thin sheet metal. Now it works great. I'm sure you won't have that problem with yours.

my wheels have a big base that goes thrue a hole in the bottum of the "cart"
we will see how well it works
you make do with what you have sometimes.

Looks like your making progress.. Im building a 71 K10 LWB now, I have the same rust issues as you. My trucks a 2 owner from PA, luckily my trucks SPID called for a wood floor in the bed. Ive bought a new bed, due to the poor patch work and 2 gallons of body filler in, on and around the wheel wheels... Got to put in the patch on the passengers side floor board. Day before yesterday we were blessed with 6" of snow plus ice in my part of GA so Im headed out to the garage to throw the seat back in her to drive tomorrow.. Go figure I take the truck apart and we start getting bad weather for the last two weeks lol.. hindering my project! Look forward to seeing more pics of your build!

Im right up the road from AMD in Buford.. Those guys are smart about there stuff and you should see the warehouse..... All my metals from AMD. Im a collision/ restoration tech by trade so im very picky about panel quality.. Ive been using them for years and very pleased as well!

thanks for checking out my build. im surprised that i havent found any bondo or poor patch work. we got about 6'' here too in NY

cool! those guys sure know what they are doing. craig hopkins does some killer work. glad to know i picked a good brand. im a machanic by trade and i havent done much bodywork before. i really like! every panel i do, i get better at it
