1951 GMC/12v Cummins

I'm a big Detroit fan and always wanted to do a small Detroit in one of these Advance Design mediums. But I'll tell you. Seeing this truck makes me want one just like it. That would be my retirement vehicle . It doesn't belong to someone here, does it?

This is very nice, could make for a nice daily driver, never owned a 12 valve, but my 24 valve gets great fuel economy. I always say when the Dodge body gives way, she's getting an older truck body plopped on. I am partial to 55 Chevy first series...hmmm

Wouldn't that be nice? You probably have seen that dark Green medium duty Advance Design pickup at Macungie on an Isuzu chassis with a Detroit 4-71 or 4-53. That is my favorite truck there, as far as wanting it and something I could use. But something like this is more updated for daily driving

Yepper, always liked seeing the green AD, I don't recall seeing it this year though. That 12valve really giddies up and goes, I wonder if he changed the rear as well? Nothing mentioned in the utube comments

Re: 1951 GMC/12v Cummins

That's what I was wondering about, the rear ratio. The truck seemed to get right on up and rolling along for having the deep gears these trucks had. I had a '54 stake body and can attest to the low and slow gearing. It would be a rough rider as shown if running original spring ratings. I was thinking soften up on the leafs and add air bags at all corners to raise capacity when hauling. Definitely keep the solid beam axle. and one more thing... Radials!!

Add this to my too bad I don't still have this one list
