What do the professional's use after blasting parts in a blast cabinet to get them ready for paint? Blow them off with air and what???

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: Blasting small parts

wipe them down with either acetone or lacquer thinner, let them dry then paint em. Just get something on soon or they will rust.

Re: Blasting small parts

Just a Suggestion.
Make sure the person that touches them
when the parts are removed from the blast cabinet
does not have Greasy hands that will leave
finger prints on the parts after they are painted.
I know this does not turn out good.

Re: Blasting small parts

I keep heavy duty nitrile gloves around for handling freshly prepped parts.

Re: Blasting small parts

I just blow my parts off and wipe down with wax and degreaser or mineral spirits...let dry good and prime

I blasted them with Harbor Freight's media blast for metal.

I didn't touch them and I wiped down good with mineral spirits and primer them today.
