help with 1 wire altenator

My 65 GMC has a 283 and it has the external voltage regulator. I want to put a 1 wire altenator on it so can I get some help on how to wire it? The previous owner had re-wired it with a Speedway Motors kit .

I'm not sure it is necessary but I would unplug the regulator. You probably want a heavier wire coming off it to the battery if not already done.
