Factory Carb Metering JET size ?

Greetings friends, I'm back for more help, I know its been a month but I have not forgotten all of the excellent responses from my original question, thanks again!

Here is the deal:

The truck is still running a bit to rich and I think it's because of the incorrect JET SIZE in the carb, does anyone know what size my 66 C20 w/Inline 6 250 Rochester 1 barrel should be? The size stamped on current Jet is .071

Thanks in advance

Re: Factory Carb Metering JET size ?

Yeah, sounds like you might be running a bigger carb jet on your 250. Are you sure you have a (stock) 250 and not a 292 or perhaps your 250 got worked on by a PO and he bored the block out alot or did some head work or put in a lumpier cam or a combination of the sorts and put a bigger jet for more fuel demand? It could also be that someone in a pinch just needed a a 1bbl Rochester and threw whatever they could find on the intake. I am not very knowledgeable when it comes to metering fuel on carbs. TJ's Chevy would be very helpful on this scenario. Hopefully he can chime in soon.
