Lets see your seat swaps....

Like the title says. Let see some seat swaps you guys have done on your 73-87 trucks. Preferably bench seats. If you could also post up what the seats came out of and what modifications were required to get them in. Thanks.....

1991 Suburban buckets in a 1978 K10. This is an off-road rig thus the reason for the seat covers and netting behind the seat. If it was a street rig it would have been done much different.

Original bench seat. Old picture from around 1998 right after the automatic to manual trans swap.

Before seat covers and new seat belts. Jan 2009

After installing Cabela's TrailGear seat covers...... Great seat covers for outdoor adventures as they are easy to clean.

Sorry I missed your question 8 months ago

I actually used a Hi-Lift Jack mounting bracket to help create the inboard mount. I cut the bracket in half then welded it to the Suburban seat frame.

Hi-lift jack bracket that I cut in half. Worked perfectly

Here are the seats after re-upholstery

Lol....a big hammer does fix most things lol. I just wanted to use what parts I already had around....I thought about just bending the brackets but I wanted less of a geico caveman approach to it....lol.

one big one, yes they are, and thanks. but the downsides are they scratch very easy, and there are a bear to keep clean.

Re: Lets see your seat swaps....

dumb question but can i do a swap using buckets and center out of an 85 k5 blazer? the reason i ask is because the center looks like it could sit real low with the dip under the bench seats just wondering if id have to mock up something to get it to sit at the right height or if it would sit like it does in the blazer? heres the seats and center looks like a good buy what do you guys think? http://tucson.craigslist.org/pts/1265836206.html

Re: Lets see your seat swaps....

it'll all fit with the right brackets out of the k5, mostly a straight swap tho

have another set for sale, exactly like these, same condition and color with center console, had them in my fleet but liked the bench better.
