The newest addition

Well I'm getting this truck. It's an 82 c10 6.2 with a 700r4. It's going to be my file mileage getter, and help keep the miles of my 07( ive drove 10k in 3 mo's)

It was drove to were it was parked about 5-7 years ago and just needed a caliper then. So hopefully with some fresh oil and filters, along with the tank drained and brakes she'll be on the road again

Re: The newest addition

Sweet. My drive last couple summers has been an 87 C1 with all the toys and a 6.2, I'm getting 23mpg.

On a side note my red block came from Webberville and I grew up in Bunker Hill. Picked up a mill in Howell on Friday and one of the guys there grew up in Stockbridge. Small world.

A small world it is. How far are you from my neck of the woods now? And mid to low 20's is what I'm hoping for out of it

Re: The newest addition

I'm over by Port Huron now. But my mom and sister live in Bunker Hill.
You should have no problem with 20mpg if you drive reasonable. remeber they are not drag motors, think a 305 smogger as an equivalent. But they will pull pretty good.

Oh ya they are by no means fast. with a little on the pump and a freeflowing exhaust and filter thats about what im expecting. I have a friend his dad honestly has about 10 assorted 73-87's all with 6.2's.
