73-87 vs 67-72 coil spring compatability?

short and sweet will front coil springs from a 73-87 truck work on a 67-72, guy i know has a brand new set of 3 inch drop springs installed but never drove the truck now hes going with different ones and wants to sell these but i need to make sure they will work before i buy them

Yes they are a direct swap, the front springs in my '72 were pulled from a '80.

ok cool, I had someone tell me the diameter was different but the guy who has them said cpp's site has them listed as 66-87 front springs
