If you are having door weatherstripping issues, if your new door seals wont let your doors close, Go to the above link and read that thread--its a short thread but it has more GOOD information on door seal problems than any other Ive seen. Be sure to look at the seal profile pics.

Re: The old door weatherstrip issue

Just a little more info on door weatherstripping.

On my build I started with precision push on seals (but the were a style that was sold about 4 years ago). They Did no/Would not work. I found a very good used set of 94 dodge Dakota door seals, installed them with the idea of testing the used ones, if they worked Id buy a new set. Well after a good cleaning they looked as good as new--I decided to leave them in place.
I also ordered another set of the "New style" push on precision seals which arrived today. The new chevy seals have a thinner more pliable bulb which compresses more fully and easier. If I ever have issues with the dodge seals Ill replace them with the new chevy seals. Just a final word---If you are having door seal issues, the dodge Dakota (regular cab) 87-97- ish ARE an inexpensive good fitting alternative.
