Exclamation Help with Getting my Truck Started

I recently installed a new intake, Holley 600 carb (rebuilt), and valve covers. Everything is installed and still does not work.

Have checked:
have fuel coming from carb, have spark plug wires, have hot wire coming from ignition to distributor (HEI), #1 at TDC lines up with #1 plug wire, plug wires are right on dist cap.

Any suggestions?? Truck has not run for about 6 month and have spent about 3 days working on it and would love to drive it.

You need fuel, spark and timing for your engine to run. It sounds as if you have fuel and your timing is right . Did you check to see if you're getting spark? Also where are you getting power from for your dizzy? Is it coming from a switched terminal on the fuse block? that is, 12 volts with the key "on". Best of luck.

Is the HEI functioning and giving good spark..................if its been rebuilt or parts replaced they could be bad...........

Do you get anything out of it when you turn the key?
