steering column install question

I am replacing column with a new tilt column. no instructions came with it.i don't know if the spring and spacers that were on original need to be used. they were at bottom of column where it connects to shaft. its supposed to be a direct fit column. any input?

Re: steering column install question

Factory tilts did not use the spring and spacers. I don't know about the reproduction columns, but I doubt it.

Like the others have said, no spring on a tilt.
