radiator support size question

I have a 70 c10 and am putting an aluminum radiator in it. It is a 3 row I got off eBay. When I set it in the core support, it isn't as deep as the upper and lower retainers. I am a little confused. I read how there is 2 size of retainers for a 2/3 row and a 4 row. I got my old radiator from oreilly and they only show 2 or 3 row options on the website, so I doubt I would have a 4 row radiator in my truck currently. My question is, what are the dimensions for the upper and lower radiator retainer brackets on you guys trucks. I see in lmc that they have 2 sizes for a standard and 1 for heavy duty. I don't want to order some and they be the same size as what I already have. They show 2 sizes for 67 - 72 for the retainers, but only 1 size of radiator for a 69 - 71 with ac and I have ac. Thanks

Re: radiator support size question

If you get aftermarket rubber retainers some of the 4 row ones you have to grind out anyway. If you got a alum. from ebay, it's prob. not exact either. You could order both sets and send the others back.
