Front sway bar mounts
is there any place that sells bolt-on front sway bar brackets with holes to line up an original sway bar? Im putting 71 spindles, disc brakes on my 70 and if my a-arms dont have the sway bar holes im gonna use the a-arms too. I cant get a compressor or a cutting torch to the donor truck to cut the rivets and steal the mounts tho.

you could just grind off the heads of the factory rivets,too. save the dough,dude........my.02

i cant get any kind of power tools out to the donor truck it's in a self-service yard.

Chisel and a two or three pound sledge will work. Few good blows will take the heads off those rivets, no problem.

you must be a big ol' boy. I wiegh one 65 and i can barely knock off the head of a 3/8 bolt thats had the head drilled through with 1 hit. I'm thinkin about taking a battery drill out there and drilling it out. I have an inverter but you cant take your vehicle out there either. It takes 5 minutes per rivet with an air chisel and my tank is only good for a couple minutes of solid stream. That wont work either. I think the elec drill thing will though. i have 2 drills times 2 batteries each. ty for the help fellas. i gotta show you my hammers tommorow... heh you bring up a good topic.

I don't think a battery drill would make it, maybe with a hell of a bit set. I think if you get a chisel and a big ass hammer and convince your self that rivet has been talkin trash about your momma, you'll get through it. I've done it a few times.

When I got mine the guys at the yard were nice enuf to torch them out for me. Still a self-service yard but they occasionally help out. Have you asked?
