Yeah, I have a '58 1/2 ton. I have been trying to find how to post pics but apparently I'm a noob and can't figure it out or I don't have the ability to?

Where it says: "clicking on the 'Pictures & Albums' link, and then clicking on 'Add Album'."

I don't have that option

OK, Here's another option....

Sign up HERE for a FREE account, Upload your pics there then copy/paste the image links directly into your post here.

BUT, Once you post a picture here do not move or rearrange the pictures there or the link will be broken and your pics will disappear from here.

Re: Hi guys, newbie from CA

Thank you much RestroRob!

Ok, so here is a little story about "Patch".
She is a survivor in my eyes. In the 2003 Cedar Creek and Julian fires, she was the only structure left standing while the surrounding buildings burnt down to the ground. I bought her from the guy in Julian who lost his house and property. The guy and his daughter were going to restore it together but his daughter got cancer and so they opted to sell it. I promised him that I would restore the truck and he is keeping me to it

She is a stout "little" farm truck, 85% original. I am the 3rd owner and have the original pink slip but prior to me, it was kept in the family. It has roughly 40K original miles. She has the 283 with a 4 speed hydraglide. Rear air shocks with shrader valves
Nevermind the mustang, that is my bro-in-laws project that is now out of my garage

Re: Hi guys, newbie from CA

That's good looking truck right there!
I like the background story on it to, and the motivation on the restoration process.

Looks really solid, and the bed isn't all beat up either.
Are you going to restore it all original or?

Thanks!
I was initially going to restore it to it's former glory but I am set on making this my daily driver. I drove it for 6 months (with leaf springs all around, drums front and rear and no ps) before the engine started overheating. After driving it with the stock setup, I think I prefer today's modern conveniences So it will be resto-modded a wee bit, if I can keep the modding bug away!

Re: Hi guys, newbie from CA

Thanks all!
Yeah, the "suicide knobs" are illegal but since it was a farm truck and was hardly on the road, they put one on. I liked it and it made it easier to drive

Don't worry, I will definitely start a build thread once I have stuff to build with!
