Frame welded and a reinforcement plate is welded in in the inside. Started mocking up the trans cross member.

The notch will get me 3'' closer to the ground. You can buy the drop members, but i have a lot of time on my hands.

I didn't even notice it moved up in the frame. I just saw the front cut.

What are you doing for steering?

The factory steering will work with this setup. I did section that front part for clearance. I will add a power gearbox.

Seen it a thousand times, boring. Just kidding! Thanks for sharing your build. Looks like it's going to be a nice truck. I like your method of raising the front crossmember. I haven't seen that exact approach before.

I have saw this way done a couple times. Once I get everything mocked up, ill see if it meets my goal for how low i want it to be. If not i will Z the frame up front.

Turned the axles down so I could use 2001 Silverado rear disc brakes. Just need to fab the mounting bracket.
