Radial Tire for 16in wheel?

So back in the day, BFG used to make the sport truck t/a which came in some good sizes for 2wd trucks running 16in wheels and not wanting a off-road looking tire. Now that they are no more, has anyone ever found a good radial tire that fits a 16x10 wheel, while not being any taller then 29" tall? I'm sure some drag radials would come close, but I am looking for something to drive on everyday.
Thanks

Look here.
A bit pricey but likely fit the bill.

Geezer thanks for the tip, unfortunately they didn't have what I was looking. If I was looking for a 8" wheel I could of made one of them work.

Re: Radial Tire for 16in wheel?

Diamondback doesn't make tires, from what they told me. They take existing tires and modify them to order. We need to know the size you are after and I think could come up with something. With the way sizes work these days I need a chart to know height and width. In that wide a tire I guess you need a 60 series or so, but I don't know w/o a chart. I know the sizes for 4wds are generally the old standard profile of 75 series, such as a 315/75-16, which is equivalent to a 35/12.50. The equivalent to a 33/12.50 is the 305/70. So, in that wide a tire I'm guess you'll need 60 series? Maybe drop down a bit on width to a 295 if a 60-70 series is available

Re: Radial Tire for 16in wheel?

Not that I'm going that wide (I went with 16x8) I noticed similar. I was looking at the LongTrail T/A (in a 255/65-16), but once I went a size tire closer to what I wanted(265/70-16) it pushed over to an All Terrain (too offroad looking for what I'm after).
Right now I'm looking at Michelin's (265 or 275/70-16).

Not a table of sizes, but a great calculator since it shows available tires in the size you're after.

That site is a great eye opener and bummer at the same time lol. Looking at ETlll's site, I was looking for a 295/50-16 or as tall as a 285/60-16. After looking at this site, I may have to compromise on my tire or wheel size. If the picture works, this was the exact look in the back I was going for.

Re: Radial Tire for 16in wheel?

I used to run Dunlop Radial Rover APs on 9.75" aluminum slots on my Custom Camper. They had that car tire look with rounded shoulders as opposed to the squared off ATs and other LT tires. I was very disappointed to see those go.
