2 1/2 inch leaves in truck having 2 1/4

Since I sold my c10 suburban I have a set of rear leaves 4 inch drop 56 eye to eye leaves. I did some measurements on my 72 c20 and found that the shackles and front perches are 2 11/16 which leaves room for the leaf about 5/16 of an inch but I would have to change out the bushings to the 72 style as the new ones are just shy of 3 inch. Also have 3 inch drop coils I know the springs are the same diameter but I think the rates are different so I'm probably not going to use them one the c20. As it will probably drop it to much.

My only other thought was to use later perches and shackles or just sell them and buy new.
