Factory cassette player help

I recently acquired a factory cassette player out of an 80s suburban. The radio works great but tapes dont. I took it apart and found the belt was broken. I ordered a new belt but have no idea how to route it. Any one know or have a picture on how to route the new belt?

Re: Factory cassette player help

should be fairly simple --- look for 2 wheels (usually white ) 1 big and 1 small belt just goes around the big wheel and around the smaller wheel --that should do it
also since you have it apart you should clean the tape ( what the tape rolls across ) and the pinch roller (rubber wheel ) both should be cleaned with a q-tip dipped in standard alcohol (not the drinking type )
