This is pitiful....

I am getting new neighbors and I do not want to be "that neighbor" so I am trying to get my organ donors straightened up a little. I think the one ton is actually on their lot, but it has been vacant for 22 years and I just kind of slid over a bit. While I am at it, this filthy shop is getting some help. Look out, cause I am going to be listing a ton of stuff,, all of it priced to sell.. Thanks for listening and not judging.

Re: This is pitiful....

Been there myself! I just sold my 67 Chevelle and 65 el camino. Made a dump run and did some clean up cause I am getting new neighbors, and didn't want to be that guy. Its funny how as long as no one can see it and we can work around it how out of shape things can get. I guess I should say how comfortable we get with our stuff and not pay attention until a situation like this comes along.

Re: This is pitiful....

It looks good to me . Im thankful I have acreage and good neighbors . My closest neighbors always tell me they like to see the old stuff I drag in but I do try to keep it orderly .The cows seem to like it too as they hang around them and leave deposits .

I did not really even notice how much I had creeped on to the adjacent lot. I am lucky, everyone around here knows me so they know I am going to take care of this little problem. No one has said anything yet and I am going to fix i before it becomes an issue for anyone.

Re: This is pitiful....

You are doing the right thing but taking this on and cleaning stuff up.
I'll bet that when you are done.....you will be more excited about it than your new neighbour.

Keeping my work area clean has always been a challenge for me too. It gets to a point where I find it really frustrating and have to stop then spend the time to get it back into shape.
I always ask myself....how did it get this far?.
(actually, my wife always asks me that too...lol)

Nothing quite like a clean work bench to get busy with again.

Keep going you are doing great!

Re: This is pitiful....

I've been lucky and had good neighbors for the 25 years or so I've been an adult. Don't underestimate the value of getting along with the folks next door. I think it's great you're taking a step to make the place more hospitable for the new folks!

Don't forget to pressure wash the north side!

I try. I work at the local parts store and I sure do not need to be known as "that guy" and, in all honesty, I have been squatting on a strip of land that was vacant for a while. Right is right.
