Re: My 71 custom10 deluxe

Welcome to the Board.
It looks like the old girl has had an amateur restoration in the past, what is the visible condition of the cab, floor, inner and outter rockers, corners, firewall?
What is the condition of the rest of the body, front clip, and bed, perhaps you can show us some close up pictures of the common trouble areas.

Re: My 71 custom10 deluxe

Med bronze it still works but at this moment I have the freon lines disconnected.I am running new lines and installed new dryer. At one point it was changed over to 134a putting it back to R12.Got plenty of R12 I'm a refrigeration mech.I used to have a GM unit about 15 years ago in my 67 nova ss,there pretty neat it fits under the dash like a glove.

Re: My 71 custom10 deluxe

Haven't seen you on here for awhile, it looks like you have gotten quite a bit of work done in your absence.
This was a nice truck when you got it but I'm sure it will be a lot nicer when you finish it.

Re: My 71 custom10 deluxe

I have not posted any pics of my 71 c/10 project in about four months.I've been pretty busy working on the truck.I have blasted the frame and primed it,painted rearend, taken front suspension off and had media blasted. Also had hood, driver bedside and other body parts media blasted.I was going to paint the truck back to original color of Ochre/White,I changed my mind and now going with PPG Global base/clear Lemon Ice yellow and GM white.I will be posting more pics in the coming weeks.Brian

Looking good Brian !!!! What did you use for paint on your motor ? I'm painting mine right now with POR-15 engine enamel. The stuff maybe good in the end but it's a PITA putting it on !!!
