Pulled my transmission out today and this was in between the tailshaft and the mount. Gm part?

Re: Is this a GM part?

Unless it has a GM part number on it, it looks more like aftermarket height adjustment shim to align the driveshaft angle...

Re: Is this a GM part?

If I recall correctly, my '69 3/4 ton with a TH400 (350 engine) has one. The engine and transmission had never been removed until I did it 7 years ago. Here's a picture that appears to verify this.

Re: Is this a GM part?

Just curious any reason some have and some don't? 3/4 ton thing? Engine angle thing? I had 1 3/4 ton have it as well.

Re: Is this a GM part?

I don't think they all have a spacer. My short box 327 th400 didn't have one. I'm pretty sure the amount of grease buildup that it was never removed before but it could have

It's going back in when the trans is finished, already cleaned it up and painted.

Yes. It will vary based on engine, trans, wheelbase, suspension and driveline configuration (one piece drive shaft vs two piece drive shaft).
