Re: What did you do WITH your truck today?

Well... they loved it when I pulled over, which I did often.

Drove mine 500 miles from St. Louis to Leeds Alabama for the Barber Vintage Festival. The Barber museum is the most amazing place on earth and I hope heaven is as good as this place.

Re: What did you do WITH your truck today?

I got home last night, the truck did 1000+ miles with no problems. Mileage was around 17.2 mpg for most of the trip with the cruise set at 80, one tank was only 15.6 heading south into a stiff headwind.

95 lt1 with the gmpp carb intake on it. I swapped in a tbi 350 and 4l60e from a 95 Silverado. I overheated it when my radiator popped and warped a head so I stuck the lt1 in and am running the tbi injection on it.

Re: What did you do WITH your truck today?

Drove mine into work today. Thinking I need to rejet the carb, might be running a bit lean. Also put another 2 or 3 degrees of timing advance in and see if it starts pinging.

Re: What did you do WITH your truck today?

Fired it up and took it around the block. It hasn't been out for a week or so. Parked it so I could put in fresh antifreeze. Winter's almost here. Sorry for the crappy pic.

Re: What did you do WITH your truck today?

Drove to Lowes to buy some new tools for work. The old 6 banger ran well, started on the first try, (pump the gas once, then pull the choke out all the all the way) and the SM420 tranny shifted nicely. The damn polyurethane cab mounts are making noise, guess I need to grease them.
No "Wanna sell it?" comments this time, which is OK, was getting tired of saying no.

God, I love that old truck.

May I suggest you reroute your fuel line away from the exhaust manifold.
Perhaps up over the heater hose.

Re: What did you do WITH your truck today?

Good catch, I hadn't rerouted it yet after the valve cover swap.

Drove back to college today so of course I had to test out the new cooler by bringing some Thanksgiving leftovers with me. The cooler worked great

Abused. 1.5 tons of rock. Got the photo late but was full over the bed rails. Sketchy as it comes. This is the 3rd load. One more next weekend!

I got my motorcycle loader working...so I thought since it worked in rehearsal. I have some more work to do but that's the design process.

No pics but took Clyde out for a drive last evening, first since new paint. I have a bunch of stuff to put back on. Grill, bumpers, etc.
