Re: Need alittle help

Yeah, but instead of having two wires running off of it because that what the wilwood portioning valve had i need just the switch with one post that i can plug the original plug onto. If there is such a thing

Thumbs up Re: Need alittle help

I took the switch out and cut the plastic off and filed it down to let the wire connector on mine work. Works just fine.

After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Sorry, I don't it came in the Proportioning valve when I bought it. I will take a look at it this afternoon and see if I can find a number.

Re: Need alittle help

You might want to call Wilwood. I bought one of theirs from Summit them and switch was included. Make your you get correct type disk/drum or disk/disk.

Question Re: Need alittle help

I think we are talking 2 different things here. The picture you posted is a stop light switch that takes the place of the brake switch under the dash on our trucks.

The one you are wanting is the switch that tells you if there is a problem in the 2 lines which is normally on the Proportioning Valve itself. It only comes on when you have a problem.

Re: Need alittle help

I agree with Andy... you need to contact Wilwood directly to see if it's even an option for that setup..

Re: Need alittle help

If you have the wildwood Adjustable Proportioning valve, why did you show a drawing of a factory type Combination Valve?
An even better question is, "why is Summit showing a combination valve and calling it a Proportion valve".

The Wilwood Proportion Valve is described as,
"Proportioning Valve - Combo Knob Description
Wilwood’s new Combination Proportioning Valve substantially simplifies mounting, plumbing, wiring and brake proportioning adjustments on vehicles with custom brake systems.

It is a Combination Valve in the sense that it serves as a distribution block, a proportion valve and a switch for rear brake lights. You already have the rear brake light switch on your brake pedal.
It does not include a Metering Valve or a Brake Failure Warning Switch that are included in a factory type Combination valve.

For a relatively stock type truck, you may want the Metering Valve. The metering valve prevents any nose-dive effect at low speeds.

For your application I would think a conventional factory type Combination valve would work well. If you have a problem with rear brake lock-up, you could then add a inline adjustable proportioning valve after the Combination Valve to the rear. You would then have two proportion valves in the rear circuit. This would give you adjustability beyond the Combination Valves Fixed Proportioning.
If the Wilwood you now have is non returnable, you could remove the switch and plug all the holes except the RI and RO (Rear In and Rear Out).

Re: Need alittle help

Thank's for the help guys, I posted that picture of that other proporting valve because that was the switch i was looking for to possibly be able to make the warning brake light on the guage light up, but i think I'll just plug that off and not worry about hooking that up.
