Coil too big for coil bracket, cant strew bolt in

350 4bbl, original

Anyone have this issue. I cant get the screw to reach to the other side of the bracket . I will start to deform the coil case if I were to actually get it to bolt in.

I assume your replacement coil is a slightly bigger diameter.?
I have seen that before
Can you use a longer screw?
Other options, swap out the coil for one that fits, or get a different bracket.

...or

Thank you for confirming. It looks newer. Possibly by the po and he is no longer with us to give history. I knew there was something off. I am not worried about it going anywhere. It is firmly sitting in the bracket and not moving without the screw. I'll see what I can find when I head to hardware store.

I bought about 4 new coils until i found one that fit. And it was tight.
Spectra premium c624 fit the best

Another option is an aftermarket bracket. That's what I ended up doing, I think it was less than $20.
