'72 Custom Deluxe/60

Well actually, a '72 C/60 Custom Cab. I think that's the option. But in '71 Custom became standard, so they got a Custom Deluxe interior. Earlier Custom Cabs I've seen only had the big window. window trim, and chrome grille. The door panels were steel and the seat was plain vinyl. I always pictured doing a medium duty Cheyenne Super and wondered if GM ever put fancy interiors in these. Nice truck. I wonder how much it will go for. I found this on a site that had C/60s around $5-7k and less

It's also listed as a 350 truck when it obviously is 366.

Re: '72 Custom Deluxe/60

Ever see a medium duty with an upgraded interior from factory?

Tim, I'm guessing you've noticed how common those are in the Grain-Belt area of the country.
You'll probably have to do a bit of a road trip to find one reasonable.
It's just my personal preference, but too bad that's got Dayton wheels.

I prefer Dayton's, lol.

But that's no secret.

It's funny as we took a survey on one of the other truck boards one day and it was about split 50-50, Dayton vs Budd's.

Oh wow. I had no idea. Interesting.
I guess my preference goes back to my OTR driving days starting in the early 70's, when as a driver, most wanted Budds just to get away from the duals wobble when not mounted perfectly true, which was very common. And the fact that Budds can be balanced.

Re: '72 Custom Deluxe/60

The other interesting thing about those wheels is Budd's are more common and more in demand on the West Coast and Dayton's on the East Coast. Back in the older days anyway. And I don't know what really started that trend, lol.

Re: '72 Custom Deluxe/60

I always wondered how divers felt about Daytons vs Budds and what advantage one has over the other.

Here is the thread that I was referring to. It was back in '07 and it went on for about 7 or 8 pages, lol. It is now in archives and someone saved it as "posts from the past" and is a little harder to follow, but here it is. Also for anyone that is not familiar with the terminology, note that Daytons are also referred to as Spokes and Budds as Discs.
