Oh, man. I love that '70 Z-28, and that truck has the paint setup I should have. That '69 Camaro is close to my dream- an Indy Pace Car model. I had a chance to buy one in '74 and passed on it . '69 SS/RS 396 4 speed rock'n'roller Camaro. I ended up with a Camaro RS with a 327 and a 4 speed, black over hugger orange.

Hmm, quote didn't quite work out. I'm referring to the truck and Camaro in the previous post, as well.

Thanks, I'm a big fan of these trucks and 1st and 2nd gen camaros. Here's another pick of the Z/10 Indy Pace Coupe.

Thanks. I'm seriously considering painting the truck to match the car (without the stripes of course).

oh lord. That is such a gorgeous car. I have always wanted a 69 SS clone with an LS motor as a daily driver. One day maybe.

OM nom nom! I should have bought that convertible that the Chevy dealer I worked for in '72 had on the used car lot. A paltry $3200.

Trucks look great! Not trying to pick your truck apart and You may already know this but your lower trim on your truck has the passenger side door moulding mounted on the drivers side. I know this because I did the same thing and wonderd why it looked different than the rest of the trim. It looks the same when you are up close but when you stand back it reflects the light a little different. Again great looking truck!

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II

No. I did NOT know that! Thank YOU! I purchased the truck relatively recently and have made lots of improvements, some things I've let slide because they were 'presentable' and lower on the priority list than.. say A/C or tires/wheels. That trim annoys me but like you said, when I'm next to it I don't realize it so much. I like to polish aluminum (there's a lot of it in that picture) and I thought that someday soon I'd strip and redo all the trim - maybe I can improve it without so much work. Thanks for the tip.

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II

Yeah the beveled end of the trim goes to the front. Its just the door pieces that are like that, so it doesnt catch the fender when you open the door. Ive seen a lot of trucks with it mounted upside down. They are easy to mix up because they are the only two interchangable pieces. Easy fix tho. Pop off the door panel and take the nuts off the studs holding it on.

Got it, thanks. Seems different sites use different software. Another forum I'm on, it does that automatically. Not that I'm complaining.

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II

one shot from when I first bought my 71 about a year ago, think I posted it here previously. Two (phone) shots from earlier this week. She has been in a friends body shop for 5 months now and I had to move for work days after, I am getting her back next week and can't wait to dig in...
