c notch question

getting ready to install the CPP bolt in c notch and it requires you to remove the two rivets for the coil spring mounting plate. I removed the coil spring mounting plates so id have more room to clean the frame and I was wondering if anyone has installed their notch with out the coil spring mounting plates, would it be safe to leave mine out or should I put them back in when I install the notch?

Re: c notch question

You need to reinstall that part. It gives structural rigidity to the frame, helps to keep it from twisting. I'm not an engineer but that's my take on it.
