Nice little storage box

So at my new job I keep all my stuff in a cardboard box on an open shelf. Found this in my garage today, had some moon hubcaps in it buried in a cabinet.

I think I’ll take this in and use it instead. Way more personality than cardboard =)

Re: Nice little storage box

Might be good for job security simply suggesting boxes of explosives are a thing you know of

Job security good ... ATF not good lol!!!

It came from my honeys familys farm, note the date. My guess they used explosives for removing stumps and such?

I think someone may have had it in for the roadrunner.

No, Wile E. Coyote was a dedicated Acme customer and used their products exclusively

Yep TNT was a common tool in the development of farm land. It was once common for people to have crates like that out in the shed. Most sheds back then didn't have an electric light. So hunting things out of the shed at night meant lighting a matchstick and KABLOOWEE!!! I learned this from watching cartoons as a kid. Very educational.

I like the box. I like all such things old and use them in my daily needs like you plan with that.

That's what I was thinking. That's a cool box. Someone might "need it' more than you do.

Re: Nice little storage box

You don't have to worry about ATF, they're busy watching me. I just ordered a bunch of potassium nitrate and sulfur. Gearing up to make my own black powder

Re: Nice little storage box

When I was a kid, my dad took some red highway flares, taped them together, and hooked up an old alarm clock with a bunch of wires connected to them. When someone new came over with a car to be reupholstered, some of them (bored) just couldn't help poking around in the tool drawers. You could really hear sphincters pucker when that drawer got opened.

Re: Nice little storage box

Thought I would report back. Everyone loved my storage box, but it was decided that it was probably be better used at my house, not in the work place ... sigh.

That box reminds me of Longhorn Man's cooler from the "Mike & Andy's insane road trip (56k should run in fear)" thread.
