67 c10 electric fuel pump install help

Hey guys,

I'm new to the message board and need some help. I am currently building a 67 c10 pickup. I have relocated the gas tank to under the bed with a tank from Brothers trucks and am in need of help with completing the fuel system. I know the fuel pump (Holley blue) needs to be mounted at the lowest point of the tank, but I'm not sure where/how I should mount it to achieve this. Is anyone running a similar setup? Can anyone post pics or point me to previous thread on this topic?

Thanks,

Jared

that's not totally true. The lowest and furthest back towards the tank is the best place. Under the tank would be the best in theory, but if you can't do it, you can't do it.
I would place it ddirectly in front of the tank, mounted to the inside of the frame rail.

Thanks for the comments guys. My only concern is that if I mount it on the frame rail as described the pump would be at the top of the tank causing it to work harder and thus shorten the life of it.

I dont have the fuel system installed yet. I'm looking for the best way to mount the pump so that it functions correctly and I can build around that. Is this what you are referring to? I can show pics of the tank mounted in place.
